Dodge County is located in eastern Nebraska. It was named for Augustus C. Dodge, an Iowa Senator.
The seat and largest city are both Fremont. The railroads have been important to Dodge County since its founding.
Dodge County borders Burt, Washington, Douglas, Saunders, Colfax and Cuming Counties.
Main highways through the county include US-30, US-77, US-275, NE-79 and NE-91.
